Tea is a practice that transcends culture, a fact that defines Penn State’s three Traditional Tea clubs, Gongfu, the practice of traditional Chinese tea, Chanoyu, the art of Japanese tea ceremony, and Darye, the serving of traditional Korean tea. Every year one of the three clubs hold an exhibition to share their flavor of tea with the attendees. In 2024, for the first time, the three clubs joined together to host the Northeastern Tea Expo, a celebration of sharing tea across cultures.

I was hired to lead the branding and art direction across the exhibition, including logo design, merchandise, and marketing. Using clean vectors, dynamic movement, and limited colors, we aimed to create a recognizable and timely design to resonate across cultures.
